About GITAM

A multidisciplinary university built around applied learning, translational research and holistic student development.

GITAM (Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management) is a multidisciplinary deemed-to-be university offering programmes across engineering, management, medical and health sciences, law, architecture, science, humanities and public policy.

The university operates four campuses — Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and GIMSR — each combining classroom teaching with laboratory, studio and field practice.

This page is part of a student coursework rebuild of the GITAM website. The layout, typography and components are reproduced from the live site; the descriptive text here was written for the project.

What shapes a GITAM education

Applied learning

Studio, laboratory and project work sit alongside lectures so theory is tested against practice.

Translational research

Research centres focus on moving findings toward practical and industrial application.

Liberal education core

Students take work outside their main discipline, broadening the degree beyond a single specialism.

Multidisciplinary campuses

Engineering, health sciences, management and humanities share a campus and collaborate.

Global network

Academic partnerships and an international alumni community extend opportunities abroad.

Student development

Performing arts, sport, entrepreneurship and community programmes run alongside academics.
